Sunday concrete´n cozy!

INDUSTRIAL, CONCRETE BUT STILL COZY!? German GANTlights has made a serial of cool handmade and elegant concrete lighting options – GANTlights actually made concrete appear elegant!

With an inside of noble gold, the rough looking lamp softens and gives a pleasant warm light. These lamps can be used both separately and sampled – I´d love to get a couple in different shapes above my dining table! And check out the price, they are even affordable compared to similar hot shot designer lamps!

HOPE YOU ARE ALL HAVING A NICE SUNDAY AND THE SUN IS SHINING AT YOU! 😉

CONCRETE living!!!!

If you are into the industrial kind of living and you ever get the chance to go to Germany – give yourself a stay at DasPark Hotel! This hotel is simply too cool, imagine staying in a concrete sewer pipe – Does it get more industrial, I don’t think so 😉 Each pipe comes equipped with a double bed, a small storage space, and a desk-side lamplight, you even get a cotton sleeping bag! All other hotelery devices are supplied by the surrounding public space. This is a fabulous opportunity, a unique way of minimalistic traveling. Andreas Strauss, the man behind this creative project, has not only taken creative accommodation to a higher level (if you ask me), he has also created an experience for (almost) everybody with his pay-as-you-wish system, a system where customers leave a Euro amount that they can afford and with which they wish to support our project!

Reservations can be made at www.dasparkhotel.net/reservation at any time.

I want to show you her DIY lamp and salt´n pepper lux-lookIing SHAKERS! That might be my next project! Check out Brit + Co for the full tutorial 😉

These shakers are so easy! All you need is a pair of shakers  – might be these ones from IKEA only DKK 25 and metallic folio  . I found a wide range of cool possibilities at Largeformat – how easy can it be 😉

If you need a tutorial check out Brit & Co !

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYBODY – NOW YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO THIS WEEKEND 🙂

INTO INDUSTRIAL? Go Concrete´n Zink

INDUSTRIAL is hot´n hip, for those on the wave I think it really works with a mix of concrete and zink! But if you ask me, its a question of balance – there is a tendency to go all in on trends (hmm might be the essential of becoming a trend, but…), and thats exactly what kills the coolness – quantity kills the “quality” of uniqueness – so don’t overdo it! Mix your favorite materials, colors and shapes it makes the interior more interesting and dynamic!

That being said, I´ll share some industrial interior accessories that I find really nice!

These awesome items are from Restoration Hardware , they have some a huge selection of industrial treasures, but unfortunately they do only ship within U.S, so if you aren’t in that lucky situation having a friend in the States, check out the European market!

Looking for a trendy flash check out ´Kix Berlin´, a German brand presenting USB 1GB and 4GB sticks produced from real concrete in different colors – get your own from Aus Berlin!

A concrete vase, I LOVE IT! The French designer Xirald Segard is specialised in concrete and the woman behind this awesome Konkurïto vase that consists of 4 modular stackable elements and a cover – inspired by the Japanese “bento” box.

Heavy Lights – different sizes, forms and colors! The internationally acclaimed designer Benjamin Hubert based in London has designed heavy lights. He leads a team of industrial designers working across a broad range of sectors including furniture, lighting, accessories, art direction etc. – check his website for more roughness!
