Easter in Copenhagen has been awesome, sunny, warm and very relaxed! Every spring when I see just a tiny little sunbeam it makes me wanna paint everything in bright and funny colors – this spring no exception! For the first time in my life I have my own balcony, I am really excited about it and want to make is as cozy as possible but right now I haven’t got the money to do shameless shopping! But lucky me, when I went to my grandparents they had an old bench that they were going to throw out – but I saw potential and NOW it has a future at my balcony! What do you think, cozy or crazy? 😉
All you need is to clean and grind it before painting – choose a good paint, that can resist the weather!
FOR THE DANES…
HAPPY SUNDAY TO ALL OF YOU!
WHEN I CAME ACROSS THE EPOXY FLOOR IT WAS LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT… I have no doubt in life, if the flat wasn’t my friend´s I would go Epoxy-crazy! The floor coating has everything, its an amazing product that can not only provide great benefits to private home and industrial and commercial companies it also adds the coolest look and edge to your home! The product is shiny and has a dynamic appearance, very appealing in all kinds of room! Though I must recommend, if you aren’t a pro-handy, to hire a person who knows the material – it ain´t that easy to apply!
If you google Epoxy you’ll get heaps of hits both in Europe and abroad … Into industrial, classic but still edgy?
INTO COLORS, WOW!

YOU CAN EVEN DO PATTERNS IF YOU LIKE, AWESOME RIGHT??? 🙂
Things aren’t exactly going my way at the moment! After 34 years I have finally found my way to cope with hard and challenging times – Ill need to do something creative, to change the look of my surroundings! This weekend I just couldn’t stand the brown look of my drawer, it was simply to depressing for me, simply too BROWN! The brown color doesn’t exactly remind of spring and happiness, so I decided very spontaneously to paint it! Here is the evidence of my weekends best mindfulness-activity 😉
I have picked the drawer up from a container, so the costs of this little DIY project was very little! If you, like me, often change colors and stuff I´d recommend you to be the small paint-samples instead of buying a whole bucket. The only thing about samples is the quality, but if you only need it for drawers its perfect!
HOW DO YOU LIKE THE RESULT?

I have always been a huge fan of petrol and the blue color palette! It gives the room a calm and warm atmosphere and even though we are heading towards brighter days, sun and lightness – you’ll never go wrong with this color! IF you are a color person 😉
For this weekend hunt I have browsed around wearing my “color glasses”, look what I found!
The confetti dinner ware is made by Alumnia and comes in different colors all named after Danish women, its vintage and upperclass antique, a bit pricy BUT really cool and up to date interior wise! I found this wonderful selection in Tante Tulis shop in Amager. The NotKnot pillow is from Luxo Living – I love the soft and dynamic shape and the grey color fits perfectly!
AND welcome to my kitchen – I want to show you how the color can add a cozy and warm atmosphere! Do you agree? I am in the process of finding a new light source in the kitchen. I really love my chandelier but I´ve had it for years and I want some changes – a new look! BUT I am on a budget! I have an idea that I want a selection of longarmed-wall-lamps and maybe in combination with this cool and VERY cheap one from IKEA only DKK 79! I want to add a hard material to the soft wall and I think the Aluminum material is quite good!
A little selection from Tante Tuli that brings the color up front! The vase must be next investment, if you are nearby Copenhagen visit Tante Tuli its worth it 🙂

HAPPY WEEKEND EVERYBODY – LETS COLOR THE WORLD!
The Danish Margrethe bowl turns 60 years and it is still going strong! The bowl came into production already in 1950 but it didn’t become really popular until 1954 when it was named after Princesse Margrethe who had just been elected for the throne. The Margrethe bowl is one of the first productions in Denmark after the 2. world war made in plastic. After the war it was hard to get materials which means you had to use what you could get, for ROSTI the company behind the bowl, it was melamine plastic. The bowl is drawn in Sigvard Bernadotte (Queen Margrethe´s uncle) og Acton Bjørns studio one of the first industrial design studios. The cool thing about The Margrethe bowl is – its really functional, it comes in every color , its pretty cheap AND it last forever!
IF YOU ARE INTO CLASSIC TRENDY COLOR PALETTE – Grey, black and petrol Margrethe is so cool!
IF YOU ARE MORE INTO COLORS MARGRETHE COMES IN HEAPS!!
The Margrethe bowl is designed to stack with other Margrethe bowls of different sizes, it has a handle and spout so you can pour it, and in 1968 it was further developed with a rubber ring on the bottom so it can stand properly on the kitchen counter. Margrethe bowl is a Danish design icon that has appeared on postage stamps and is a part of the permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
