MY living wall!

I always wanted a living wall and Ive come across several ones, but I always wondered how it works. I mean soil, water and mud in my home ain´t particularly what I fancy most. The first one I came across was in a cafe in Copenhagen, it was made of textile and looked quite cool from a long distance but when I sat nearby the textile looked dirty and way too “a live” to me!! I put on my thinking cap and tried to figure out, how I could build one myself – but then myMinigarden all of a sudden popped up – Here was the answer! 😀

Mini Garden states on their website that you can grow whatever even if you dont have green fingers, THATS ME I thought… and guess, myMinigarden IS ME!

Mini Garden is made of plastic and modular so you can expand, rebuild and move it if you like – you can even get a corner-garden.  I wanna share my experience with this cool product, that just made my homey life a bit more cozy, not to mention healthy 😉

This was my first meeting with the mini garden, honestly, my first thought – its never gonna happen! But, I was really surprised how easy it is too build – even the irrigation system, so cool! But, I must admit I still haven’t developed the skills to use the huge pump easily, but the homepage has video shots and descriptions that helps even me 😉

AND, a major bonusinfo! The Mini Garden is made of maintenance -free material which is approved for food production, that means NO harmful substances released from the plant box to your plants, herbs, strawberries or whatever you fancy growing.

  • Secure the brackets to the wall
  • Place the drip tray
  • Start off by adding Leca balls to the planting pits, then soil, a little water and then your green goddess
  • Place it on the drip tray and before you add the next drip tray remember to place the irrigation system – you can’t go wrong, the guideline is very educational (se photos)
  • You get the best result if you secure every layer of the boxes to the wall
  • Repeat and build!
  • Interiorwise

    Irrigation system 😉

WOW, SIMPLY LOVE IT! Easy – just the way I like it! It takes no time to build your living wall, what takes time is to plant the greenies, but its all worth!

How do you like it?? 😀

Check out MyMinigarden, they have many different colors and sizes.

Dreaming of life in a timber house?

(Dansk version nederst)

ITS TUESDAY and Im almost asleep don’t know whats going on, think I need a few weeks or month to get used to the autumn coming up 😉

BUT I woke up, when I, in my daily search on the internet, popped by this awesomely cute wallpaper, that I just have to share with you!

So if you, like me, love living in the hot spot of the city but also dream about the feeling and atmosphere in a timber house… the answer might be here  😉 Isn’t it awesome?

Im off for a wedding in London very soon, but Ill be back very soon, hopefully with some new stuff from the home make over project 😀

You can follow me on instagram and Facebook too for snaps and short stories on my way!

Hunting for the perfect wall!

(Dansk version nederst)

I work my ass off in the flat – painting and wallpapering the bathroom (ill soon show you the result) but when I ocassionaly take a break I can’t help it – Ive just sit in front of my computer sucking for these wallpapers! Have you ever heard of the Italian wallpaper shop Wall & Deco? They take wallpaper to a whole other level… I can just sit and scroll and scroll and scroll… Their selection is really stunning and beyond the ordinary, so If you wanna go all in on a wall, give yourself the pleasure and treat – and check Wall & Deco out 🙂 I could go on forever, but here are some of my favorites!

… and the one that I MUST have for living room!!! A COCKATOOOOOOO…. ❤

Have a lovely weekend everybody!
Ill be back very soon with my bathroom makeover project 😉

Little thing, BIG difference!

(Dansk version nederst)

To create the illusion that your ceiling is higher, play with coloring the the wall, the woodwork and the ceiling in the same color – it will make the walls appear taller and it will cheat the eye to be less aware of when the walls end. As you might already know I am crazy about dark colored walls ALSO in small spaces, might go as far as saying ESPECIALLY in small spaces 😉

VERY NICE rooms, but to me, they seem unfinished – the contrast between the wall and ceiling makes the room too divided – like a box with a wrong lid 😉

A lighter version is to paint the ceiling in a shade of the wall color!

BIG ART at home!?

(Dansk version nederst)

For our future home I am planning on getting a huge piece of art! I hope I’ll get time to do one myself one day but right now I’m looking for inspiration and found some really cool ones, that shows how art can be used at home! Art has no limits right? But, I may say that if you want to decorate with a huge piece of art you might consider following:

  • Do you want the art piece to be the main focus in the room? if yes, then go for a plain color palette that doesn’t overrule the colors and the shape of the art! Let it stand alone! Or…
  • If you are into colors then let the art piece lead you to your color palette! Otherwise beautiful even the most beautiful piece of art will drown in shiny colored accessories… though it can be tempting with loads of accessories, I know!
