High on colors… storage for kidsroom!

My friend called me a couple of days ago and asked if I could recommend her any storage for her sons books and I suddenly remember that I, a while ago, came across the Danish designer Henriette W. Leth!

Henriette graduated from the  Danish Design School and now works as an interior-consulting and furniture designer. Further more she carries an education as Neo Feng Shui, from where I believe her design statement is coming from: “It’s not about how it looks but how it makes you feel”.

I recommended my friend the Color Box or stack – cause the flexibility is the real cool thing about the boxes – stack em, hang em, do whatever you like and combine the funky colors just the way you like! 😉 I´m sure her sons gonna love the colors, who would not 🙂 …

You can get the color boxes at Normann Copenhagen, each box costs DKK 600!

Hej Danmark 😉

HAPPY HOLIDAY (at least in Denmark) –
Ill be back next week hopefully HIGH on the bloggers Hive conference!

#2 PILLOW´N POUFS

If it wasn’t for my beloved leather couch, my beloved leather armchair, my beloved leather dining chairs and my leather leather leather… Okay Im a addicted if possible to leather! And if it was´nt for … I would buy Moroccan poufs in all existing colors! I used to have one in natural brown leather and I colored it red. which was awesome but in one of my redeco periods I decided to sell my Morrocan pillow on the flee market , damn! But nowadays they do the pillows in all colors so you don’t have to mess around with leather color and stuff – check out Etsy.com and you´ll find loads of different colors, homemade and pure leather!

My search around showed me that the majority of interior designers use the pillows when they design a room with an ethnic look, but why does it always have to be so perfect based on a all or nothing kind of mindset! I think these pillows could make a serious fab look in every kind of room that needs a dynamic edge – use a clear color to add life and fun or go for the more classic colors like brown, black or dark colors for the more classic look! I would even say that the gold one could express both fun AND class depending on what you are mixing it with! The options are endless – but there is no doubt that a single Morrocan pillow can make a big difference to your room 🙂

Imagine what would happen to this bedroom or kitchen if you replaced the pouf with a turquoise, pastel green or a gold one, it gives a complete different expression – and I think for the majority who reads about interior, it all comes down to expressing oneself 😉

You can get these funky Morrocan pillows from LeMorrocanShop  the pillows are hand-stitched with precision and made of leather except for the gold and silver which are in faux-leather. They ship worldwide – So if you aint on your way to Morocco yourself, Le Morrocan Shop is a great place to get hold of your Morrocan pillow 😉

Hi DANES!

#1 Pillow and Poufs! Trend…

Recently I´ve been quite excited about pillows and poufs! I have browsed around and found loads of both modern, trendy and really fun ones – so I have decided to kick of my pillow and poufs serial with these ones from Ku Me Ko, which Ill carefully label as modern… trendy style!

But why poufs … or huge cushions on the floor! Because its cozy, it adds a kind of informal atmosphere when you actually create a space on the floor to sit, it breaks with the perfect and neat look and makes a room more lively! The best thing about poufs are that they come in all different kinds of shapes and styles! Ill show you 😉

These cool modern ones are made by Ku Me Ko – Ku Me Ko thinks traditionally and strives to preserve old lifestyle in new forms, shapes and textures. Their designs are inspired by the handcraft techniques of our grandparents, lovingly re-imagined for the modern world.

Looking for something different? Or addicted to pillow and poufs stay tuned, a lot more to come here on INTERIORWISE 😉

For the Danes!

In denial – but copper is cool!

LOOKING FOR INTERIOR TREASURES – VISIT YOUR NEIGHBOR 😉

Today I went on a day trip to Malmø with my mum. We have this tradition that we twice a year visit our neighbor country Sweden.  Interior-wise and trend-wise we have a lot in common, the Scandinavian look but the benefit of being Danish is that its a bit cheaper to go shopping in Sweden so if you are in DEEP NEED of Scandinavian design visit Sweden! I must admit that I am not really into the minimalistic Scandinavian look myself, I find it a bit too mainstream and boring – sorry! That being said I think Scandinavian design just “rays of” quality and luxury and I do find MUST HAVE pieces that I love to mix with container-treasure, vintage look and colors – MIX MIX MIX if you want a dynamic and lively look 😉

How do you like this mix? I think the original white tiles and the vintage-look porcelain sink work perfect with the copper faucet and pipes! The photo is taken in the shop Granit, f you are into industrial and Scandinavian – check it out!

I know its everywhere and I feel like its becoming a bit too much BUT  I have to show you this and then I´ll go for a copper-break 😉

I found these HAY copper hangers 3pcs. 129SEK, but you can get similar ones in a good quality for only 69 SEK in Lagerhaus. Lagerhaus is must see if you are going to visit Sweden – its cheap and you´ll find a lot of fun stuff for the home and of cause a lot of cheap but cool copy-cats! A COPPER CLEANER… it has gone way too far!! Time for a copper break 🙂

HAVE A NICE AND SUNNY SUNDAY EVERYBODY!!
