Hammock for vikings – Head over heels by Zivic!

 ITS SO F…… PRICY, but…

Are you into leather, shearling and steel?

Are you amazed by hand and aesthetic appeal of domestic harness?

Do you find perfection dead boring?

Do you want interior to be lively and storytelling?

YES, YES, YES, YES – then you might fall head over heels for

JIM ZIVIC DESIGN

Jim Zivic’s is inspired to create things both useful and artistic and his approach to furniture design is very “Industrial”. Zivics signature materials are leather, raw steel and felt. He had even made a wall-to-wall leather floor for a Tribeca boutique, sounds awesome – who wouldn’t have a leather floor!!

A significant part of his furniture collection is exclusively represented by Ralph Pucci International.

I would really like a hammock at home and of cause the first one that really hit me was the ´Link Leather Hammock´- also called the Viking Hammock, which Ill never even nearby, but this could also be a CALL FOR HANDYPEOPLE – anybody out here who can fix a similar one??? 😉 (I promise Ill do a post on less pricy hammocks for your home)! Not only did I fall in love with the hammock – check out Zivics ´Jaguar Loounge Chair and the leather ´Console´ – simply STUNNING!

HANDY-PEOPLE – is this a DIY?? 🙂

Follow INTERIORWISE and be inspired! The post on `Weekend Hunt´is just around the corner – STAY TUNED!

Danish Design Society – Whats not to love!

GREETINGS FROM DANISH DESIGN SOCIETY! Promise me if you ever come to Copenhagen visit the Danish Design Society, go for a coffee, feel the relax atmosphere, enjoy the cool interior design and enjoy the view – just in front you’ll se Tivoli and billions of bike riders!

And before you leave make sure you did not miss an exhibition!

I went to a seminar about Design for All the other day. It was really inspiring being among a wide range of different scientists from different spheres. The main focus was on the radical demographic change that todays Western societies face  and the challenges that go hand in hand with the fact that people simply live longer. The expanding human lifespan means new challenges for both the architects, designer, innovators and not least politicians. When I receive the sum up of the day Ill tell and show you cool stuff from the event! Firstly, enjoy the photos – that place is worth a visit!

THUMBS UP for “Puzzled” by Ernsting!

More from Hanna Emelie Ernsting the German-American designer! Talking about when interior completes the puzzle, back in 2007 Hanna launched “Puzzled” a porcelain vase that consists of ten individual pieces that you can combine into different forms and expose  the colors you like or use each piece separate! With the vase comes a rubber band that holds the parts together and gives the impression of a flower bouquet from the market – I think this vase has what it takes, its beautiful and can be be serious, fun or playful! What do you think?

Again I am sure this won’t be the last post about Hanna Emelie Ernsting –

#3 GET INSPIRED BY THE WORLD WIDE ACE!!

READY FOR TAKE OFF!!!! THIRD DESTINATION IS PORTLAND!

Today Ill give you a tour at the third ACE-Hotel – this time we are in Portland, and I have to admit this must (until now) be my favorite! The hotel is placed in Portland downtown and i must say – I have never been there, but I got to go!

Though the ceilings aren’t decorated ( 😉 ) these rooms are simply thought through to perfection, loads of artwork, loads of atmosphere – still casual but thats the expression of ACE and I think it really works!!? Don’t you?

Notice how they have exploited the space in the smaller rooms – I find it very inspiring if you have a studio!

There are so many cool pics to show, so Ill let them speak for themselves this time – how do you like it??

STAY TUNED, ADD YOUR EMAIL, FOLLOW MY BLOG!

Happy reading everybody 🙂
