Milan & Dimore!!!

Interiorwise WHO?? I know… I have been away for a while, but lots has happened – it has actually been quite a rough period in my life, but Im out on the other side now, so here I am… just arrived from a trip to wonderful Milan!!

As everybody probably knows Milan is loaded with high end (high priced) fashion and interior design. I found at least 878 pieces that I would die for but before even thinking about it my wallet was already exhausted… dead! So, if you go to Milan and if you are a sucker for interior design, which you probably is since you are here🙂 … I would recommend you to visit Dimore Studio – I have mentioned them before  – Emiliano Salci and Britt Moran who founded DIMORESTUDIO in 2003. They are my number one favorit interior designer – with a dark colour palette and the courage to throw you over the edge again and again, its like walking in to a warm fairytale, I am speechless🙂 You HAVE to visit the studio at via solferino 11
20121 milano – it makes a world of difference to see it live!

MY living wall!

I always wanted a living wall and Ive come across several ones, but I always wondered how it works. I mean soil, water and mud in my home ain´t particularly what I fancy most. The first one I came across was in a cafe in Copenhagen, it was made of textile and looked quite cool from a long distance but when I sat nearby the textile looked dirty and way too “a live” to me!! I put on my thinking cap and tried to figure out, how I could build one myself – but then myMinigarden all of a sudden popped up – Here was the answer!😀

Mini Garden states on their website that you can grow whatever even if you dont have green fingers, THATS ME I thought… and guess, myMinigarden IS ME!

Mini Garden is made of plastic and modular so you can expand, rebuild and move it if you like – you can even get a corner-garden.  I wanna share my experience with this cool product, that just made my homey life a bit more cozy, not to mention healthy😉

This was my first meeting with the mini garden, honestly, my first thought – its never gonna happen! But, I was really surprised how easy it is too build – even the irrigation system, so cool! But, I must admit I still haven’t developed the skills to use the huge pump easily, but the homepage has video shots and descriptions that helps even me ;)

AND, a major bonusinfo! The Mini Garden is made of maintenance -free material which is approved for food production, that means NO harmful substances released from the plant box to your plants, herbs, strawberries or whatever you fancy growing.

STEP BY STEP

  • Secure the brackets to the wall
  • Place the drip tray
  • Start off by adding Leca balls to the planting pits, then soil, a little water and then your green goddess
  • Place it on the drip tray and before you add the next drip tray remember to place the irrigation system – you can’t go wrong, the guideline is very educational (se photos)
  • You get the best result if you secure every layer of the boxes to the wall
  • Repeat and build!

WOW, SIMPLY LOVE IT! Easy – just the way I like it! It takes no time to build your living wall, what takes time is to plant the greenies, but its all worth!

    How do you like it??😀

FINALLY, SLEEP TIGHT!!!

FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY our bedroom is finished and Im quite satisfied with the result, it has definitely been worth all the effort, not sure if my boyfriend agrees – he had the crappy job to reconstruct the window frames and the ceiling after it fell down😉 BUT, here we go and Im happy to welcome you inside, but first this is how it looked not long ago!!!

GOODNIGHT EVERYBODY

HAVE A LOVELY WEEKEND❤

Copenhagens coolest cafe!

Are you going to Copenhagen? Are you a sucker for interior? Maybe a bit kitch? Dont miss the coolest cafe STAALVAND in Copenhagen at least interiorwise😉 The funny thing is that its placed in the ,some would say, outskirt of the city – and I guess its the only cafe there. Go, to Brønshøj Torv by bus, there youll find my favourite cafe – its such an inspiration and I simply love the craziness, the colors, the edge!!

Isn’t it awesome???

And, a little funny thing is that they sometimes sell retro candy AND they top your hot chocolate with MARSHMALLOWS🙂

Enjoy, Copenhagen
